Ani Karalashvili

Ani Karalashvili's journey towards entrepreneurship was serendipitously forged during her entrance exam preparations for Tbilisi State Medical University. It was during a pivotal biology lesson, under the guidance of the esteemed Viola Berishvili, that her trajectory took an unexpected turn. Viola, whose counsel remains eternally cherished, urged her students to consider the pharmacy faculty—an unconventional choice at the time.

Upon returning home, Ani made a bold declaration to her parents: she would not follow in her mother's footsteps to become a doctor. Instead, she resolved to pursue pharmacy. With unwavering support from her family—her mother's silent assent and her father's endorsement of the pharmaceutical industry's global significance—Ani ventured forth into uncharted territory. Today, boasting a quarter-century of experience, she stands as the proud founder of her own enterprise, www.pharmservice.ge—a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and determination.

At the heart of Ani's venture lies the ethos encapsulated in their slogan: "Pharm-Service is our family." Within their small yet dynamic team, work transcends mere obligation; it becomes a seamless fusion of productivity and camaraderie.

An advocate for holistic success, Ani believes that true fulfillment extends beyond professional accomplishments. Balancing career aspirations with familial and personal responsibilities is paramount. In her eyes, success is not measured by the hours worked but by the harmony achieved between work and life.

Addressing fellow women in leadership roles, Ani dispenses invaluable wisdom: fear not the mantle of leadership, nor allow preconceived notions of gender to impede your ascent. As leaders, women possess inherent strengths—organization, adaptability, and resilience—that set them apart. These qualities enable them to navigate change with grace and efficacy.
